Foundation Overview
The mission of the Currin Foundation is to improve the quality of people's lives through gifts supporting education, the performing arts, historic preservation, medical research, and the prevention of cruelty to animals.
Established in 2011, the foundation makes one large and several smaller awards each year and underwrites thousands of full-time scholarships at five family North Carolina colleges and universities.
The Currin Foundation activities are guided by the will of Carroll and Julia Currin, who endowed the foundation with financial assets that now total approximately $3 billion.
The Currin Foundation awards $150 million in gifts per year.
The Currin Foundation does not accept unsolicited requests, and can never accept donations.
